The second film we watched on friday at the BUT film festival and oh boy, this one tested my patience.
Also known as "Fucky" but quickly changed to "Winnie the Pooh: Master of Puppets" when German practical effects guy Timo Rose realised he could take advantage of the Winnie the Pooh character because copyright has expired. I was very cynical in my write-up of an earlier, sadly successful attempt "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)", but this is yet another quick cash-in barely holding itself coherently together as a film. This is the first of two highly-meta films with the upcoming one even annoying the piss out of me more.
It's about a thick-accented German girl (Deena Unverzagt) trying…

Don't fuck with furries, and don't bother to watch this movie too!
It's also known as 'Winnie The Pooh: Master of Puppets', but it has got absolutely nothing to do with the characters from that book. They literally put a teddy bear toy in front of the camera and move it about a bit, while making it shout unbased profanities and killing people. The acting is bad, the plot is stupid, the comedy isn't funny. It's a complete waste of time and I hated it from the very beginning!
So why the half star? There's a small animated section in C64 style, which was nice. The rest was "fucking furry fuck"!

This was shown as Winnie The Pooh: Master of Puppets at BUTFF#18. I imagine this could have been a Winn(i)er as a short film, but at feature length it barely delivers on its promise of a silly puppet slasher film. As it is, it's mostly unbearable, self-indulgent nonsense until the last 5 or so minutes of the final act that were actual fun. But by then, it's just too little, too late for this piece of Poo.

Watched at BUT Film Festival 2023
Well another Winnie the Pooh horror movie and I’m starting to regret that this became public domain If this is the shit we’re going to have to go through…
This was absolutely garbage and it didn’t even have anything to do with Winnie the Pooh. It was more of a stuffed bear that resembled “Ted” or “Robijntje”. I actually can’t even remember what this shit was about anymore. Just skip it…
Me falling asleep was a recurring theme during this edition of BUTFF, so for these series I’m introducing an additional rating system of how well I slept. The heat and boredom was getting to be so I closed my eyes for a few minutes towards the end. I’m rating this 1/5 stars with a sleep score of 1/5.

This is a bad movie. The acting is bad, the story difficult to follow and there is hardly any bear. It takes a while before 'Winnie' shows up and even then we mostly just get to see glimpses. And I can understand that people hate this movie because it's quite self aware.
Besides that it has several isolated moments that I liked. It has some gore, heavy synths at times, some funny jokes and plays with film itself a few times. I also liked it as an amateur movie. Originally I rated it 3,5 stars but then I found out that the original name of the movie was Fucky. 🙄

I saw this movie at the BUT Film Festival and it was the third movie I saw on that day. Before the screening of this underground picture I had a very unpleasant time with explotation wannabe pile of sh*t that was Dick Dynamite: 1944.
But oh boy the torture was not over. The acting from every single person in this movie was straight up terrible. The bear in question did not even had anything remotely to do with the OG Winnie the Pooh. The effect were sh*t. The camera work was sh*t. The script was sh*t. Literally everything was sh*t.
The only reason why I give this movie one star is because I had to laugh a couple of times.…

@ BUT Film Festival 2023
This got renamed Winnie the pooh masters of puppets now for well reasons. Low budget i don't even how to call it comedic horror i guess they includes a haunted teddy bear murdering various people with tons of horror and action movie references spread through endless premiere studio effects, cutaways and in camera gags. Bad German accented English also included because ofcourse it is.

Gesehen auf dem „Weekend Of Fear 2023“
„Winnie Pooh – Blood and Thunder“
oder
„Winnie Pooh – Master Of Puppets“
